Impact & Hurricane-Rated Windows and Doors
Protect your home from extreme weather while upgrading its style and energy efficiency. Two impact-rated price points, so protection is not an all-or-nothing decision.
Built for the Gulf Coast, Not for a Catalog
Living south or east of Houston means facing heavy storms, flooding and intense heat. Standard glazing is designed for none of that.
When a hurricane pushes debris into a window, the failure is rarely just a broken pane. Once an opening breaches, wind enters the building envelope and pressurizes it from the inside, which is how roofs come off. That is why impact-rated glazing is treated as a structural component in coastal building codes rather than as a finish.
Impact-resistant glass and heavy-duty aluminum frames are engineered to withstand hurricane-force winds and flying debris, keeping the envelope intact. We supply and install these systems across the coastal communities south and east of the city, and we hold both an entry-price and a premium option so the decision is about fit rather than budget alone.
What Impact Glass Actually Buys You
Security
Laminated glass resists blunt force. The same property that stops storm debris also makes forced entry through a window far harder.
Energy Efficiency
The interlayer blocks the large majority of UV, and the units keep extreme Texas heat out, which shows up on summer cooling bills.
Noise Reduction
Laminated glass measurably reduces outside noise from traffic, aircraft and weather. Clients often mention this before they mention the storm performance.
Insurance Considerations
Wind mitigation features may qualify for premium reductions depending on your carrier. We supply the documentation; your carrier sets the terms.
Choose Your Impact Option
Most companies in this market carry one impact line. Carrying two lets us match the product to the house and the budget instead of the other way round.

Elevate IMPACT Series
Texas-made vinyl impact windows from Elevate Windows & Doors, who we distribute. Listed with the Texas Department of Insurance. The fast, affordable route to a protected opening, especially post-storm.

- Texas Department of Insurance listing on the Elevate IMPACT Series
- NFRC energy performance ratings so the thermal numbers are verifiable
- Documentation supplied for your insurer or windstorm inspection

Impact glazing is the lead offer in these communities. Each page covers the local exposure and what it means for your openings.
Impact Glass Questions
Are impact windows required where I live?
It depends on your county and your distance from the coast rather than on personal preference. Designated windstorm areas along the Texas coast carry specific requirements, and they are not uniform across the Houston metro, a Galveston County address and an inland Harris County address can face different rules. Give us your address and we will tell you what applies to it.
What actually makes a window impact rated?
Laminated glass, a reinforced frame and the anchoring that ties the unit into the structure. The glass is built with an interlayer that holds the pane together when it is struck, so the opening stays sealed even when the glass itself cracks. A rated window is a tested assembly, glass, frame and installation together, not just thicker glass.
Will impact glass lower my insurance premium?
It may. Carriers treat wind mitigation differently and the documentation they want varies, so we will not promise a number. What we can do is give you the product documentation your carrier is likely to ask for.
What is the difference between your two impact options?
The Elevate IMPACT Series is our entry-price option, Texas-made vinyl with a a short lead time to us. Royal Windoor thermally broken aluminum is the premium option, with larger available panel sizes and slimmer sightlines. Both are impact-rated systems; the difference is price, appearance and how large a single opening can go.
How fast can you install after a storm?
Faster than most, because the Elevate line keeps moving when competitors are quoting months. We confirm your date on the quote. That gap matters most in exactly the window when demand spikes.
