How is this built, and why does it matter?
Casement windows are the operable aluminum window that still behaves like a piece of architecture. Hinged at the side, they open fully, not a few inches of slider overlap, and they close into a compression seal that double-hung and many sliding windows cannot match. In a Houston bedroom that wants night air without a leaky frame, that combination is the point.
We manufacture thermally broken 6063-T5 casements, often as the operable flanks around a large fixed picture window. That is the classic modern elevation: a view pane that does not open, with casements that do. It is also how you ventilate a west-facing room without turning the whole wall into sliders.
Egress, screens and crank versus handle are the site details. A bedroom that needs a fire-escape opening has a minimum clear width; we will not beautify that away. Screens on a casement have to be planned or they become the thing you hate about the window. None of that is mysterious, but it is why a casement package is quoted from a measure, not from a photo of a European catalog.
Our vinyl casement windows cover the same job at mid-tier on conventional openings. Aluminum casements are the upgrade when the rest of the elevation is thermally broken aluminum, when the openings are larger, or when the sightlines have to match a modern facade. Impact-rated glass is available for coastal addresses.
Same product type in our other manufactured tier: Vinyl Casement Windows.

Why does this survive Houston weather?
We build these to handle August west-facing solar gain, Galveston salt, and the shifting Katy clay that racks cheap frames.
Ventilation that is actually useful
A casement opens fully and can catch a breeze. A slider opens a gap.
A compression close
The sash pulls into the frame. Better air and water performance than most sliding or hung windows.
Paired with picture windows
The usual Houston modern pattern: fixed glass for the view, casements for air.
Energy that matches the frame
Thermally broken aluminum plus specified Low-E, not a pretty metal window that cooks the room.
When to buy this, and when to downgrade
If you are not on this list, there is probably a better product in the line, and we will say so rather than force this one onto the opening. If a room is perfectly shaded, do not buy full premium aluminum.
- Modern Houston elevations that mix picture windows with operable flanks
- Bedrooms that need egress and airflow without a double-hung look
- Full aluminum packages where vinyl casements would break the sightline
- Coastal homes that want operable impact-rated windows, not only fixed laminated glass

Questions about Casement Windows
Casement or sliding windows for a Houston bedroom?
Casement if you want maximum opening, a tight seal and a modern look. Sliding if you have no swing clearance, a walkway, a tub deck, a tight side yard. We make both in aluminum.
Do casement windows leak in Houston storms?
A well-installed casement with a compression seal is one of the better operable windows in wind-driven rain. Leaks are usually flashing, a failed sash, or a window that was never a casement to begin with. We install what we build.
Are aluminum casement windows energy efficient in Texas?
Thermally broken ones, with the right glass, yes. Unbroken aluminum casements from older houses are not a fair comparison, those frames were heaters. Ask for the NFRC numbers on the unit we propose for your elevation.
