Window and Door Installation in Houston

The most common reason a good window underperforms is a bad installation. We manufacture and we install, so that problem has nowhere to go.

How this job actually runs

A thermally broken frame flashed badly will still sweat, stain and leak. Installation is half the product.

Our crews install what our factory builds. That is not a slogan. It is why a binding sash, a missed pan or a wrong structural fixing lands on the same desk as the extrusion. There is nobody to hand the August complaint to.

Installation here means the opening is prepared, the unit is set plumb, the flashing and sealant match the wall assembly, and the hardware is adjusted so the sash actually closes square. A window that does not close square leaks air, and leaked air is leaked cooling. That is as true of a vinyl tilt-and-turn as it is of a minimal sliding wall.

We install across the whole metro from the Heights shop: replacement openings in Spring and Sugar Land, new-construction packages inside the loop, impact units in Pearland and League City, and glass walls on Katy covered patios. If you are unsure whether the address is in range, call, the answer is usually yes.

If you already have a product specified by someone else, we will tell you whether we will install it. We prefer to install what we sell, because the warranty is then ours to honor. See replacement if the openings already exist, or new construction if the house is still a slab.

Setting the unit is the easy half. The flashing is the half that decides whether the wall is dry in five years, which is why we will not call it somebody else’s trade. If you are weighing up doing it yourself, Parsa’s measuring guide is honest about which openings are a reasonable do-it-yourself job and which ones are not, including why a self-installed impact unit can lose the rating you paid for.

Who it is for

Typical Jobs

  • Homeowners who want one company responsible for the product and the install
  • Builders who need a glazing trade that will still answer after closing
  • Anyone comparing quotes where the cheaper number assumes a different crew

Watch how our crews seal an opening

Filmed on one of our own jobs. Before a window goes in, the opening is sealed with silicone and flashing tape, the corners get their own pieces, and the nail fin is taped over again once the window is set. Inside, any gap is foamed before the sheetrock goes back. Most leaks start around a window, not through it, and this is where we stop them.

Taping the opening
Flashing tape over silicone on the sill and jambs, red corner pieces at the corners.
Corners and sills, opening by opening
Every opening on the floor sealed the same way before a window goes in.
Flashing membrane up the jamb
A crew member runs flashing membrane up a tall opening on the sheathing.

Questions

Questions about this service

Do you install windows you did not manufacture?

We prefer to install what we sell, because the warranty is then ours. If you already have units on site, ask, we will tell you whether we will take the opening.

How long does installation take?

A handful of replacement windows is often a day. A full-home package or a glass wall is scheduled from the measure, not guessed on this page. Lead time to fabrication is the longer wait, and we confirm it on the quote: Elevate is quicker, custom aluminum longer.

Will you pull the permit?

When the city requires it, we produce the drawings from the measure and work to the permit. Ask on the appointment so it is in the schedule, not an afterthought.
