This is our existing sliding door line reconfigured as a room. Instead of one opening in a wall, the glazing wraps the patio, so you keep the view in every direction and still get to open the whole thing up when the weather allows.

Because it is built from a product we make rather than a proprietary kit, panel sizes, frame finishes and the split between fixed and operable panels are all specified to your space.

Where It Sits in the Range

A screen room is cheaper and breezier but offers no thermal control. A four-season sunroom is fully insulated and conditioned but costs the most and reads more like an addition. A sliding glass enclosure sits deliberately between them: glazed and weathertight, but not conditioned to the standard of the main house.

For a lot of Houston families that is the right compromise. It makes the patio usable for most of the year, it does not commit you to extending the HVAC system, and the flexibility of opening it up entirely is the feature people actually use.
